San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

Guys!  Last weekend we received some awesome news… Our wines killed it at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition!  The SF Chronicle is the most prestigious wine competition in the U.S. and it was our first time entering Upsidedown to be judged.  We weren’t quite sure what to expect when we entered, but we knew we had solid wines, and definitely something we wanted to get on the map in the competition world.

Wine competitions, awards, and points mean different things to different people.  To be honest, we at Upsidedown Wine aren’t going to weigh everything on whether someone gives is a high or low rating – however, when you get a good rating – it is super validating.  Of course, we think our wines are awesome, and take pride in what we’re producing… BUT to know that people with some of the most well-trained palates in the world also think so, is incredibly humbling and reassuring.  Wine awards do help to legitimize your wine brand in the industry – especially when you’re a newbie like us.  We’re thankful for the recognition and excited to get our name out there more!

Here’s what Upsidedown took home:

·       GOLD

o   2015 BDX Blend

·       SILVER

o   2014 Merlot

o   2014 Gold Drop GSM
